Visit Providence Canyon- Many of our guests take a day hike to Providence Canyon up Hwy 27 in Georgia. Known as the Little Grand Canyon, the park is about 30 minutes away from the campground. You may wish to pack a lunch and take plenty of water this time of year.
Welcome Henry- The newest addition to the campground is a roommate for our miniature horse Charlie. Henry is either a large donkey or small mule. you will find them both at the barn in our Nine Ponds Retreat Center.
Major League Challenge Fishing Cup - May 13 1 pm to 3 pm on the Outdoor channel for six Saturdays in a row. Many of our RV sites have cable TV or satellite access. Check out the pros and then try your luck on the lake.
Rudders and Wheels R/C Racing Park-Comejoin the fun at our new RC Racing complex. We have a new track and a pond that works great for R/C boats . You can bring your own or rent one of ours . Campground equipmenrt is priced per battery pack. The park is in the retreat center near the barn.
Fishing: Lake Eufaula is known for world class bass fishing. No license is required for fishing at the campground ponds or when using cane poles. Our boat launch is best suited for canoes and kayaks. Since the water in the creek can sometimes be low, we do have information on other nearby boat launches.
Hiking: The Campground Hiking Trail is open for guest use. The trail is a great way to observe local birds, wild flowers and see the ponds. Many guests take a day trip to Providence Canyon in Georgia. The canyon is about 30 minutes away by car.
Swimming: The campground pool is now open. We offer day passes as well as swimming for our overnight guests.
Biking and Kayaking: The city bike and hiking trail is on the north side of the campground. Rent a bike from us or bring your own.Kayaks can be used in the creek or transported to other locations on the lake.
Party Boat - The campground's pontoon boat can accommodate six to eight guests. We provide the driver- you provide the guests. Check out sunrise or sunset boat tours of the lake.
Golf: The community of Eufaula has two public golf courses- the county club of Alabama and the Eufaula Country Club. We are happy to arrange tee times for our guests.
Hunting: The campground provides a great base camp for your next hunting trip. Bow hunting is particularly popular at the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge. For more information on hunting leases check with Alabama Forestry http://www.afoa.org/hunt.htm
Tailgating: This is SEC country. Come join us during this fall to root on your favorite teams. Football is more fun outdoors. Have your next tailgating party at the pavilion while the kids play corn hole or miniature golf. Tailgating open for overnight and day pass guests.
Shopping: Downtown Eufaula has a number of interesting downtown shops to explore. Many feature original works of art.
History/ Arts/ Crafts: Tour historic homes in downtown Eufaula. Mark the first weekend in April for Eufaula Pilgrimage which includes home tours and residents in period costume.
The Beach: Eufaula is 2 hours away from a day at the beach. Panama City provides the closest access to the Gulf.
